VERS LIBRESJune 29, 2017
After the displacement of its headquarters near the Saint-Laurent metro station in 2012, DARE-DARE began broadcasting public writings on a luminous sign near its mobile trailer. For five years, twenty-nine artists have been inspired by the socio-environmental context to offer aphorisms, poems and sentences that take the short form of slogan, haiku or tweet. This collection presents five thematic annual programs: spectacle, time, fear, infiltration and meeting society. These texts took place in two very distinct places: the Quartier des spectacles and Sud-Ouest (St-Henri).
A special thanks to the artists Geneviève Amyot, Chloé Beaulac, Rémi Beaupré, Soufïa Bensaïd, Nicole Brossard, Simon Brown, Claire Burelli, Daniel Canty, Alice Feldt, Cynthia Girard, Céline Huyghebaert, Odile Joron, Sylvie Laliberté, Isabelle Lamarre, Marie-Line Laplante, Sylvie Laplante, Arkady Lavoie Lachapelle, Genevieve Letarte, Bruno Mainville, Hélène Matte, Viviane Namaste, Jeanne Painchaud, Marc-Antoine K.
