Camping aux bons plaisirs fugaces
The campsite(camping), under its entertaining shape, aims at taking away people of the city for a ressourcement in nature. The camping aux bons plaisirs fugaces (In the good fleeting pleasures) wishes to play on this idea anchored in the collective imagination and so proposes an alternative, an experience of the urban campsite through the nature which offers us the city, in this particular case its various public spaces and municipal parks. Aux bons plaisirs fugaces (In the good fleeting pleasures) wishes to investigate the tent and the other installations typically connected with this activity to question them as new platforms of artistic broadcasting. Community oriented and festive activity, the camping. In the good fleeting pleasures has the mandate to gather the urban community and the artists around various planned activities.
The event will take place 5, 6, 7 and in June 8th, 2008 in the "parc sans nom", the place at present occupied by DARE-DARE Centre de diffusion d'art multidisciplinaire de Montréal.
Objective of the project : Occupation of a piece of waste ground ("parc sans nom") transformed into a campsite(camping). Use of the tent as the platform of broadcasting for a project thought according to the place.
Duration of the event : Four days. The arrival of the campers on the site is planned on Thursday morning for the taking of the spaces of creation. It is about the permanent occupation of a space. The project must be thought as work in progress where the evolution will be observed and discussed between the various participants.
The event will take place in good or bad weather. It is strongly recommended to you to think of your intervention as a consequence. We suggest you to think about the notion of precariousness, about the value of equipments which could be used and in the resistance of materials envisaged for your project.
The camping aux bons plaisirs fugaces is not responsible for stolen, lost, and broken objects. We appeal to the autonomy and to the responsibility of the participants.

Your file will have to include:

Accepted sizes (formats): Images JPEG, resolute 72 dpi maximal
Deadline : April 1st, 2008. The owners of the campsite(camping) will inform the participants at the latest on April 1st, 2008 about the acceptance or about the refusal of their project. The camping aux bons plaisirs fugaces does not pay the expenses of cost of transportation.
