As part of the Journées de la culture, Passeport returns for its 9th edition in the Southwest. This cultural event consists of a walking tour during which participants are invited to collect works of art and prints by about ten artists.

Over the course of a month, an altar will transform Sainte-Cunégonde Park. This altar will serve as a living portal, not a monument or a static shrine, but a co-created structure that invites curiosity and reimagination.

Marianne Rouche will be participating in a two-day micro-residency at La HALTE to draw inspiration from the DARE-DARE library.

For the fifth edition of the Confluences residency, DARE-DARE is welcoming artist Massy Emond to the Southwest for 8 weeks.

As part of a two-day micro-residency at La HALTE de DARE-DARE, Jad Orphée Charmi is offering a workshop exploring the memory of a place and the objects that embody it, as well as a storytelling evening.

Final Holds draws on the world of professional wrestling as a metaphor for care, absence, and grief, where the final move of a match echoes the last gesture of holding a loved one.

This residency program runs continuously for 8 weeks. DARE-DARE seeks to foster a deeper, close-knit relationship between a professional artist (who does not reside in the metropolitan area) and the Saint-Henri and Petite-Bourgogne neighbourhoods, and provides dedicated support throughout the residency.

To mark our fortieth anniversary, the celebrations committee invited Catherine Cormier-Larose as one greets an essential voice—with gratitude and joy. A poet, critic, curator, and tireless connector, she embodies a lasting commitment to the poetry community: a vibrant, inspiring presence that brings people together. Titled LA FÊTE, the corpus presented in the illuminated sign sidesteps any notion of decoration or surface-level celebration. Here, the party is a collective gesture, a political stance, a form of joyful resistance. Short, incisive poems turn dancing into an act of disobedience, public conversation into a patient revolt, and artistic provocation into an open invitation. LA FÊTE insists that creating and gathering are, in themselves, acts of resistance—and reasons to sparkle together.

The project “Il y a...” is a stylistic exercise, a humorous narration that assembles trios of words and rearranges them into a formally informal, aphoristic proposition.

In collaboration with DARE-DARE, the festival will host artist Jochi Muñoz. True to its tradition, DARE-DARE favours in situ performance practices that incorporate spatial and temporal perspective as both a formal and conceptual component of the work.

Peupleraie invites us to explore the soundscape of a community of trees, poplars, in the urban fabric of the Petite-Bourgogne neighborhood and the Lachine Canal, as a metaphor for the “living environment” and the social body. Anyone passing through the South-West neighborhood with an internet-connected device and a pair of headphones can experience the project. Various connectors are available at the HALTE or at the DARE-DARE offices.

On September 20, come celebrate the launch of Caroline Gagné's intervention project and the release of a retrospective publication on DARE-DARE's 2024-2025 programming, designed by researcher-in-residence Alexandre Piral.

Displayed from August 7 to November 5 on the illuminated sign at Sainte-Cunégonde Park, the poetic corpus highlights how patriarchal logics of domination—which exploit the bodies of cis and trans women—are the same as those that violate the Earth.

Holding Release is a gesture of mutual support, hosted at the HALTE. Visitors will be invited to release something that feels heavy for them, and to support someone else with an act of mutual holding.

In partnership with La Fenêtre and Culture Trois-Rivières and to mark its 40th anniversary, DARE-DARE is installing a neon sign in Trois-Rivières to present poems by 16 authors.
