Les seins ballants, je m’en vais au vent is a micro-edition of nomadic artist books that explore the idea of wandering from a feminist and decolonial perspective, and are designed to evolve over the course of a year.

The duo of Elsy Zavarce and Denise A. Olivares, who were in residence for an independent research project during the 2025–2026 programming year, will present the results of their work at La HALTE in late May.

This residency program runs continuously for 8 weeks. DARE-DARE seeks to foster a deeper, close-knit relationship between a professional artist (who does not reside in the metropolitan area) and the Saint-Henri and Petite-Bourgogne neighbourhoods, and provides dedicated support throughout the residency.

Peupleraie invites us to explore the soundscape of a community of trees, poplars, in the urban fabric of the Petite-Bourgogne neighborhood and the Lachine Canal, as a metaphor for the “living environment” and the social body. Anyone passing through the South-West neighborhood with an internet-connected device and a pair of headphones can experience the project. Various connectors are available at the HALTE or at the DARE-DARE offices.

On September 20, come celebrate the launch of Caroline Gagné's intervention project and the release of a retrospective publication on DARE-DARE's 2024-2025 programming, designed by researcher-in-residence Alexandre Piral.

For the fourth edition of the CONFLUENCES residency, DARE-DARE welcomes Caroline Loncol Daigneault for an eight-week period. Her project, titled Maman, papa et les masques de l’avant-nuit, is developed in collaboration with the Alzheimer Society Montreal.

In partnership with La Fenêtre and Culture Trois-Rivières and to mark its 40th anniversary, DARE-DARE is installing a neon sign in Trois-Rivières to present poems by 16 authors.

The project La chambre de Chiron (Chiron's room) treats the domestic diffusion space - of both the work and the body - as the site of an intimate, mythical experience.

Passeport DARE-DARE 2024, whose theme is “Are we burning the candle at both ends?”, is an artistic rally project in which the public is invited to collect the work of 10 artists scattered around the Sud-Ouest district.

For the third edition of the CONFLUENCES residency, DARE-DARE welcomes Roberto Santaguida for 8 weeks. His "no date" project, which revolves around the hidden histories of the South-West, is being developed in collaboration with a literacy group and an elementary school class.

On June 14, participants from Fabuler l'école joined forces at Charejo farm, located in Lanaudière, to continue the "Creuser un trou" process begun last year.

The Percolation public writing project was created from an investigation of/with Parc Sainte-Cunégonde, where knowledge and experiential knowledge are distilled and incorporated to create short texts in a geopoetic approach, an approach to places that is both sensitive and poetic.

The artist presents a first screening of Canterel, a performance film that anchors itself in the landscapes of Montreal's Sud-Ouest district through short tableaux that dialogue with the area's physical and social spaces.

To celebrate DARE-DARE's 37th anniversary with a bang, the PASSEPORT project is more ambitious and unifying than ever. This special edition features 37 artists who have made our center what it is.

The collective has brought together artists Pilar Escobar, kimura byol-lemoine, Noémi McComber and Helena Martin Franco to invest the Vinet Park and its surroundings.
