Éric Simon

Éric Simon has been creating objects, images, and texts for over forty years. On his own and with friends, he has opened four pop-up galleries in Montreal (Galerie Comme des stars, Galerie Silk Master/Maître de soi, Galerie Pas de tataouinage, and Galerie Aux plus graves ennuis). Each was intended to close after the exhibition of its works. He has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in Quebec and internationally. He has published novels and poetry. Together with Pierre Gauvin, they form the duo known as the Steak Haché twins, and their correspondence has been the subject of a book and two exhibitions. He has taught at John Abbott College and Concordia University, where he also headed the fine arts department at both institutions.
