Les Sabines

Founded in 2009, Les Sabines is a duo of cultural entrepreneurs who explore—and challenge—the ways we perceive artistic success and talent. Also multidisciplinary artists, they work in drawing, video, and print-based practices. Through self-published illustrated essays, viral-style publicity, and VJing, Les Sabines infiltrate a wide range of art events and exhibition openings, chewing over and reworking the flawed codes of recognition that shape the art world. Their work grows out of a mise en abyme of their own lived experience, where every twist and turn of their professional paths is brought back, like raw material, to the heart of their collective creative process.
